About the firm

Devrim Özaydın received his bachelor’s degree from the Department of Chemical Engineering at Middle East Technical University in 1996. In 2011 he completed the Sabancı University Turquality Executive Development Programme.

In 1998 he worked as a Planning and Quality Assurance Engineer at Depa İlaç, and in 1999 as a Training Specialist at DuPont Performance Coatings. Joining Kordsa as a Technical Engineer in 2000, Özaydın held various roles as Production Manager, Plant Manager and Plant Director, then spent five years leading Kordsa’s overseas investments — two years in Brazil and three in Thailand. Between 2018 and 2021 he served as Kordsa’s Global Technology and R&D Director. He also chaired the TÜSİAD Intellectual Property and R&D Working Group.

Between September 2021 and May 2026 he served as CEO of the Sabancı University Composite Technologies Centre of Excellence. In May 2026 he founded Innowhatif Ltd. together with Deniz Özaydın, who is continuing his studies in Artificial Intelligence Engineering.

In 2002 Devrim Özaydın earned a Black Belt Certificate from the DuPont Six Sigma Academy and managed numerous projects. At Kordsa he trained 25 Green Belts and 40 Yellow Belts.

After receiving Blue Ocean Strategy training from INSEAD in 2005 and 2006, in addition to his existing roles he worked as a Blue Ocean Innovation Coach, using this methodology to help bring numerous new products to market. He was part of the management team that, through the application of Blue Ocean Strategy, transformed Kordsa into an “advanced materials technologies” company. Partly thanks to this work, the company was twice named Türkiye’s best R&D Centre and won first and second place awards at İnovaLİG.

With Innowhatif, Özaydın brings 30 years of industrial experience to companies; working across foreign trade, innovation, training, consulting and artificial intelligence applications, and developing collaborations.
